Home.....

How excited am I to be going home next week! Even for a few days..... It confuses me though. I love Halifax with every last fiber in my body but I feel like a trapped animal when I am there for more then 2 months. Perhaps I could live there now but I am not ready yet, there is something about being home. Isn't there? A feeling of comfort, familarity and memories, but then again there is a desire to live a different life. I think I am doing that for myself right now. Banff is definately not the ideal place to live but it is getting me closer to where I want and need to be. I hope you are doing the same........Living for you!

Believe........

Expect the unexpected..... even if it is at 7:45am and it lasts only a moment. Believe in it!

Congrats are in order....

Congrats to 2 of my favorite people......Max and Mandy! Although I don't e-mail you nearly as much as I should I wanted to give you a huge shout out. Congrats on the wedding! These two are very special to me and I am ecstatic in this annoucement! After what I am sure was a beautiful proposal while cruising around Hawaii, these 2 just couldn't wait to make it offical. You cannot deny true love! I miss you guys. Wishing you a lifetime together and continued laughter for the rest your lives!

Hali Famous Locals working the Halifax Scene...

During my daily peruse of the Halifax Herald I stumbled across these two names on numerous occasions, Rebekah Higgs and Spesh K. Although one is only someone who went to school with me. (Spesh K) Rebekah whom I haven't spoken to in years, always had a natural flair for preforming for an audience. I probably haven't seen her for more then a few minutes since junior high. I love that aspect of Halifax providing an outlet to let these artists, both very different in their target audience expose their talent. Check them both out respectfully at their ECMA showcases if you can grab a few minutes from your busy schedules!

From the Chronicle Herald:

...the Music Nova Scotia showcase is in the roomier confines of the Seahorse Tavern, with Rebekah Higgs, Steven Bowers, Jill Barber, Hotshotrobot, Carmen Townsend and Dr. Dfunkt.
If you’re not in the mood to bar hop, this is the perfect spot to park your keister.
Onward and upward, the next stop was the 72-Hour Jam, at the foot of Citadel Hill in The New Palace. At this point it was a mini hip-hop showcase, with Wordburglar, Spesh K and Ghettosocks tag teaming through an hour-and-a-half of boisterous and clever rhyme spitting. The crowd wasn’t as big as it could have been, but the night was relatively young by New Palace and 72-Hour Jam standards
.

How much do I love that I haven't been in the newspaper since I was 4 years old. That was because I was getting a facepainting by a clown on the Halifax Commons! Loves it!

Much respected shout out to Spesh K. I don't know that I ever met him but his stuff is really good. Check it out: http://homepage.mac.com/baldassarre/Copernicus/iMovieTheater45.html

Very cool video, from doing a little research on the web I hear it's got quite a bit of rotation on MuchMusic!

Some his Songs can be heard as well on CBC Radio: http://radio3.cbc.ca/nmc/artist.aspx?name=SPESH-K&readmore=true - 18k - or great site on him http://www.urbnet.com/speshk/index2.html

or try googling him. Trust me it is definately worth your time!

WOW... just been doing some research on Rebekah on the web! I had no idea! Check her out!http://www.rebekahhiggs.com/index2.html and www.myspace.com/rebekahhiggs

I absoultly need to pick up one of her numerous CD's when I am back in Halifax! Is it odd that I feel proud, I really excitied to check this out totally wish I was able to go to their shows on the week-end!

Update: I have actually been able to listen to a few of her tracks on CBC Radio one, Honey you are going far! Her stuff is truely amazing. I am blown away by this girls talent! I can't wait to see what she'll come up with next!

Things to watch out for when your making out....

Hopefully Nicole and Joel are safe...

I have just read a startling discovery......

Did you know that the bacteria that cause most Stomach ulcers in transmitted back and forth from "significant others".....What??!!

So next time your making out remember to think before you stuck out your toungue because you could get ulcers, herpes of the lip and stalking if your not careful who you smooch!

Cheers

Beware of the Make Out Bandits!!

And Never Make Out with Kevin Federline!!! Oh Brit what where you thinking??!

Knocking the boots but not without your socks....

I've been procrastinating writing about my fab Vancouver trip and all kinds of fantastic things to blog about but this needs to be blogged! So as I am reading the newspaper from Hali-town on the web as I sometimes do (one must keep informed on the happenings of little Hali even if we can't stand to live there at the current time!). As it turns out we Atlantic Canadians (although I haven't lived there in years I am hardcore through and through) like to wear our socks whilst getting it on more then the rest of the country!

Sex in Socks?

It should knock your socks off.

But apparently not in Atlantic Canada.

According to a recent national survey, people here on the East Coast are more likely than anyone else in the country to have sex with their socks on.
"On average, it was 31 per cent across the country, but in Atlantic Canada it was 41 per cent," said Linda Whitehead of McGregor Socks, which commissioned the poll.

How much do I love it! I just wanted to state that most certainly I have had mind blowing sex with East Coast Boys and I most certainly was not wearing socks! I don't know that I could even had remembered my name at that time ! My favorite mistake! Just thought this little piece of news from our fair Herald needed a little bit more light shed on it! And the East Coasters needed a little shout out for being great lovers! Always use protection but a tube sock is probably not your best choice.

Is you Dog CARDA certified?

So on my very busy day at work today...Yeah Right!!, I was looking up some wintery activities as I really have been avoiding my dear friend the snow like the plague! Anyways among many lovely things to do I discovered these poochies! What are CARDA Dogs you ask? Is this some form of Hypoallergenitic Dog? They are the Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Association. The are specially trained dogs who are search and rescue ready to find people buried under the snow in the event of an avalanche. I didn't even consider avalanches when I thought about coming here but I love idea that these loveable dogs are the key part to the rescue operation. You can take a specialist course and then you and your dog are on call in case of trouble. Well I do have my heart set on a lovely Pomeranian, someday I think I may just have to consider a larger dog so I can volunteer for avalanche rescue. So if your ever(hope you never are but) buried under the snow in a horrible avalanche don't worry I'll be there to save you..........Okay you can stop screaming now! Plus did I mention that guy in the photo is kind of cute!

ETHAN!!!

Actor Ethan Embry was mugged at gunpoint by two men Sunday night outside his Studio City home. TMZ has confirmed the "Can't Hardly Wait" star told police that two men recognized him from his film and TV roles, and robbed him and wife Sunny Mabrey in their driveway. The thugs allegedly stole Embry's wallet containing $400, a watch, and threatened Mabrey. As the men fled in a silver SUV, one eyewitness tells TMZ that Ethan raced into his house, emerged with a handgun and fired three rounds -- though it is unclear whether they were in the air or toward the vehicle. Police, however, refused to confirm this information to TMZ..

I don't care if he is married, he is my love and always will be!! For those of you who don't know, I meet an amazing guy who looks just like this guy and was completely smitten! Was back in the crazed rave days, I was so young and so much in LUSH! Last I heard he was an E-tard. Should like him up when I go home! I am sick y'all! Hope my Ethan is okay!

Thanks to Pink is the new blog for reporting and also TMZ.com

Today's trend is "Hypoallergenic Cats"!

Was flipping through a magazine, working hard you know... When I came across this article in a Magazine. The title " Nothing to sneeze at"

The cat allergen is a potent protein secreted by the cat’s skin and salivary glands. ALLERCA has focused on naturally occurring genetic divergences (GD) already present in cats that do no harm to the cats in any way. The resulting ALLERCA GD hypoallergenic cats will now improve the health and quality of life for millions of cat-allergy sufferers.

While some breeds of cats have been promoted as having less allergen than others, scientists that have tested this hypothesis have shown that all cats, regardless of breed, produce allergens. The ALLERCA GD cat is the only scientifically-proven cat that helps those individuals with feline allergies and was developed using proprietary methods under ALLERCA's pending patents.

The first breed of the ALLERCA GD hypoallergenic cat is friendly, playful and affectionate. The ALLERCA GD cats come in all coat colors and patterns. The coat is medium-long with low maintenance and minimal shedding.

I found this so interesting as I cannot be near a kitty without getting the drippy eye(watery eyes) and the runny nose. I have always liked that kitties do chase a certain vermin out of the house. This now gives me a new hope that some day I might be able own a pretty Himalian. Too bad though because for now they cost a mere USD $3950 plus another $1000 for transport. He shall definately be an indoor cat! If your interested in finding out more check out the website: www.allerca.com
